Professional training institute seminar with adult learners in Kathmandu
About Mid Valley Academy

A training institute built on real, hands-on learning.

Mid Valley Academy is a professional training institute in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu. Our first program: Healthcare & Caregiver Training.

Our story

A training institute, starting with what Nepal needs most.

Mid Valley Academy was founded to bring structured, professional training to careers that are usually learned informally. Our first program takes on one of the clearest gaps: as joint families spread across cities and countries, more elderly parents are cared for by people who were never trained for the job. We treat caregiving as a discipline, not a set of chores — and it's just the beginning of what we plan to teach.

What guides us

Our mission and the values behind it

To build a training institute that Nepal trusts — starting with professional caregivers who bring real competence and genuine warmth to every home they work in.

Competence before certificates

Every learner is assessed on real, demonstrable ability — not attendance alone.

Dignity for the elderly

We train caregivers to protect the rights, privacy and dignity of the people in their care.

Safety as a habit

Infection control and hygiene are built into how every practical skill is taught.

How we teach

A method that moves from knowing to doing.

Each module follows the same rhythm: understand it, see it demonstrated, practice it under supervision, then get assessed.

Learn & observe

Classroom theory followed by a guided, step-by-step demonstration of each skill.

Supervised practice

Learners repeat each skill with real-time correction, not feedback after the fact.

Skill assessment

A practical skill check before graduating — the same rigor across the full curriculum.
